Hives...for the second night in a row?
I have a case of full-body hives...for the second night in a row. Both occurrences happened at the same time each night (during dinner). The first night, I ate pizza; tonight, I ate veggies marinated in vinegar and herbs with tofu stir fry. I have been having a lot of gastrointestinal problems (nausea, diarrhea) and my doctor and I are testing me for lactose intolerance. I had been off dairy for 2 weeks, but have recently started again 3 days ago. Not eating dairy did make me feel mostly better - eating it again has brought back the nausea.... All I had for dairy today was two cookies and a spoonful of German´s Chocolate cake frosting (Coconut, Pecans, butter, cream). WHY WHY WHY do I have hives???
Two things in common there....... the pizza dough( first night), and the cookie( today), both of which contain gluten and eggs, and both of which are common allergens. I suggest you get somthing like Benedryl for the hives, and take according to the packaging directions. Stay off anything that has wheat/flour in it for two weeks, and see if your stomach problems subside. Also, avoid any egg products. Introduce either of them very slowly, and in VERY small amounts, and make sure you have some sort of allergy medication handy, in case of problems.
