Coconut butter, is it good for you or is it bad?!?
me and my mom were talking about certain things one for witch was coconut butter and if it was good for you or if it was bad i think that it would be for you (i did some research on wiki) it is really high in fat (18g) and 81% of that is saturated fat (16g) But manly all of that saturated fat is composed of fat thats is i would not say good for you but are way easier for your body to digest (Medium chain triglycerides)
One of the main thing i was thinking about was whether it was "ok" for you to eat it on a diet not an extreme diet but like more for an just healthy deit and the second main question was if it would be used more as a fuel before it turned into fat if you were being active
Please don't confuse coconut butter with coconut oil. Pure coconut oil is one of the healthiest foods you can eat despite the fact that it is high in calories and fat. Yes, it is saturated fat, but not like the saturated fat in meats. Coconut oil goes liquid at body temperature, so when ingested, it stays fluid, therefore it cannot clog your arteries. (When fat from meat cools, it thickens. Coconut oil does not.) When I added it to my diet, I found my health actually improved noticeably. I had more energy and my weight came down. Now I cook with it and melt a tablespoon into my hot breakfast cereal. It's so dense and nutrient rich that I actually feel fuller and wind up eating less through the day. I've had great results with coconut oil and I can't say enough good things about it! Please keep in mind that I eat healthy and I exercise too so I'm not saying coconut oil is the magic bullet for health! But you can safely add it to a healthy diet. It's so very good for you! I even use it as a skin moisturiser!
