exfoliating body butter

Really dry scaly skin on legs/arms lotion will not help, any ideas?

I have had this really dry scaly skin patch on my lower leg and on my upper arm. I really think its from the dry winter weather, I have tried taking a bath, exfoliating, and apply cocoa butter and vitamin E skin oil continuously. Nothing seems to help i've also tried body butter, vaseline, baby oil and the scaly skin is still there! It is really itchy at times and I try to add some topical benadryl which helps. If anyone else has had this same problem or have any other ideas let me know. It is def not psoriasis or eczema.

Unless you've had a dermatologist examine and diagnose this you can't say it's neither of those conditions. In terms of taking a bath, did you soak in plain water or? I would try an aveno brand oatmeal soak, then dab your skin dry not wipe. I would say if that doesn't work then I'd be sure to see a doctor.
