peppermint body butter

Help....deep cleaning hair treatment needed!!?

okay, so i took a bath the other day and i used this Mediterranean mint melon & sugar body scrub to exfoliate.
[the scrub is made by boots and it has stimulating organic peppermint oil, refreshing oil, and exfoliating sugar.]
it was then in the water in which my hair was in, and the disaster started. i got out and my hair dried and it was DISGUSTING. i thought it would come out in my next shower, but it didnt. so i tried again with this deep tingling degunkify clean shampoo and my hair is still disgusting.
my hair looks wet, or really greasy and it feels kind of like butter or grease.
what can i do to get my hair back to normal?
my mom suggested dish soap...will that work?

well idk if it'll work but since its greasy use baking power or salt or maybe even clean litter to absorb the oils, then once the oils taken out use the dish soap if you want but you should just try regular shampoo
